New York Fine Art Appraisers in Boston, MA
New York Fine Art Appraisers launched our Boston regional office in 2018, in response to the need for qualified appraisers and consultants in New England. Located in Boston’s Back Bay district, the office is nestled in with Newbury Street galleries, Skinner Auctioneers, and close to the renowned Museum of Fine Arts. Boston is a major cultural center of the arts, both historically, as the most important region in American furniture, silver and decorative arts, and contemporary art as well. Often considered a more conservative city, with buyers mostly interested in Impressionist Art and Americana, there is actually a wide variety of collectors in Boston, including a burgeoning Contemporary Art scene rich with cultural significance, availability, and maturity.
With services in many areas of expertise, New York Fine Art Appraisers is able to appraise and advise on your entire collection, providing independent, confidential and qualified assistance. From our Boston location, we serve all of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, including Newport, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
Regional Director Melissa McCaffrey provides on-site services in New England. Melissa holds a Master’s Degree in the History of Decorative Arts, Design & Culture from Bard Graduate Center in New York, complemented by over 10 years of relevant experience at internationally recognized auction houses. She is supported by all of the resources of the partner office and company headquarters in Manhattan.
